Job summary

A leading organization in UK Defence is seeking an experienced SC Cleared Automation Engineer to join their team in Corsham. The role involves supporting complex, mission-critical infrastructure and delivering secure, robust, scalable solutions. Essential skills include strong experience with PHP and JavaScript web services, automated deployment, and working in Agile teams. The position requires active SC Clearance and onsite presence 2-3 days per week.

Qualifications

• At least 12 months' demonstrable hands-on experience within the last 3 years.
• Experience working within public sector, preferably Defence.
• Experience delivering accredited secure solutions within UK Public Sector.

Responsibilities

• Support complex, mission-critical infrastructure.
• Deliver secure, robust, and scalable infrastructure solutions.

Skills

Creating PHP and JavaScript web services

Utilising web services provided through REST interfaces

Utilising web services provided through SOAP interfaces

Automated deployment of server, network and storage technologies

Building or supporting large infrastructure environments

Troubleshooting hardware or software component failure

Working as part of an Agile development team

Strong communication skills

Strong critical thinking and analytical skills

Competency in MS Office Suite

Education

Computer Science university-based education at Bachelors or Masters level
