A manufacturing company in Crumlin is seeking an enthusiastic sawmill machine operator. Responsibilities include operating various saws, stacking timber, and maintaining equipment. Job description

Rea Sawmills is looking to recruit an enthusiastic sawmill machine operator.The successful candidate will be responsible for cutting timber into various sizes, stacking timber, and organising bales of timber for other saws.Full training will be provided on how to safely operate machinery, and carryout your role effectively.

Responsibilities

• Operating band saw, chop saw, planers.
• Operating conveyor systems to move logs/timber to and from saws.
• Set up and adjust saw equipment and replace blades or bands using wrenches, gauges and other hand tools.
• Operate equipment to sort and stack timber by length and thickness, move stacks to storage areas.
• Monitor movement of timber to ensure cuts are made according to specifications.
• Clean and lubricate sawmill equipment and cleaning work area.
