About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled SAP Payroll Specialist to join on an 8-month contract. The ideal candidate will act as a subject matter expert (SME) in all areas of payroll processing, supporting our clients with implementation, testing, incident resolution, and process improvements.

This role requires a strong mix of technical expertise, payroll knowledge, and problem-solving ability to ensure seamless payroll operations across complex environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for all payroll-related processes in SAP.
  • Analyze and resolve complex payroll issues, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
  • Lead and support SAP Payroll implementations, including configuration, testing, and go-live activities.
  • Manage change requests, incidents, and payroll system enhancements for customers.
  • Document and analyze payroll processes to identify gaps and areas for improvement.
  • Provide technical expertise to resolve issues in the SAP payroll application environment.
Must-Have Skills & Experience
  • Senior-level expertise in UK payroll (SAP, taxation, social insurance).
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in SAP Payroll implementations for external clients.
  • Proven experience in analysing, documenting, and optimizing payroll processes.
  • Strong track record of leading SAP Payroll projects from implementation to post-go-live support.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to address complex payroll system challenges.
  • Fluency in English.
