Sales Manager / Lead Generation Manager

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and driven Lead Generation Manager to train and mentor the next generation into high-performing sales professionals.

Location :

Office Based, Ware Hertfordshire

Salary :

£50,000 (DOE) + Commission | OTE £60,000£65,000

A key part of our success has been the Lead Generation Academy, where we develop school leavers and first-time job seekers into high-performing sales professionals. We are now looking for a hands‑on, motivational Academy & Lead Generation Manager to lead this team and drive performance to the next level.

The Role

As the Academy & Lead Generation Manager, you will take ownership of a team of approximately six academy trainees, coaching and developing them through a structured 12‑18 month programme.

Your goal is to help them become confident, capable salespeople who can consistently generate new business meetings for our field sales teams.

Youll lead from the front

managing activity levels, ensuring KPI achievement, and creating a positive, high‑energy sales environment.

Youll also work closely with vendors to deliver product training and ensure the team understands and can confidently promote our solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage, coach, and motivate the Academy team to meet and exceed call and booking KPIs.
  • Drive the generation of qualified meetings for the external sales team through outbound calling and lead development.
  • Ensure consistent use of CRM systems to record and track activity and lead progression.
  • Monitor performance metrics including call volumes, booking ratios, and conversion rates, providing regular reports and feedback.
  • Collaborate with marketing and vendors to deliver ongoing training on Managed Print and Telecoms products.
  • Support the ongoing improvement of the Academy programme, contributing to content, structure and culture.
  • Identify and nurture high‑performing trainees ready for promotion into full sales roles.

You will have :
  • 3+ years experience in a similar sales management or lead generation role.
  • Proven success in managing and motivating teams in a target‑driven, outbound calling environment.
  • Strong communication, coaching, and organisational skills.
  • A proactive and positive mindset with the ability to lead by example.
  • Experience within Managed Print, Telecoms, or related B2B services (advantageous but not essential).
