A prominent alternative investment firm in London is seeking a Business Development Specialist to establish and develop new relationships, supporting asset raising. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge in the alternative space, preferably with qualifications such as CFA or CAIA. Key responsibilities include developing a sales pipeline, generating leads, and presenting portfolio solutions to investors. The firm values entrepreneurial spirit and results-driven professionals.

Qualifications

  • Strong interest in fund of funds or hedge fund solutions is necessary.

  • Provide technical presentations to active investors.

Job description

This is an excellent opportunity to join a successful and established fund of hedge fund manager that is hiring within their business development sales team. The position is based in London, with the primary responsibility in establishing and developing new relationships and supporting in asset raising.

Reporting to the Head of Business Development, you will have responsibility for:

  • Prospect and develop a sales pipeline in order to support your primary responsibility of asset raising across a global client base.
  • Proactively generating new leads, by attending roadshows, cold calling and emailing.
  • Technical ability to present the specialist bespoke fund to active investors and answer any queries or ad hoc.
  • Extensive experience creating market research on the competitor landscape to identify key areas.
  • Support the marketing team to develop seamless and relevant marketing material for new clients.

Our client is looking for a candidate that is keen to take on an entrepreneurial role and work within a growing alternative investment firm. Key kills required include:

  • UK resident and/or allowed to work in the UK.
  • Strong knowledge and experience in the alternative space, particular interest and passion for fund of funds or hedge fund solutions.
  • Industry qualifications such as CFA and/or CAIA, or willingness to study.
  • Results driven with a proven track record of successfully raising assets.
  • Experience in supporting and leading technical meetings to communicate the portfolio solutions effectively and clearly.
