Dutton Recruitment (Sheffield Engineering) are currently recruiting: We are looking for a Sales Manager for a permanent position based with our client in Leeds. Immediate start available (Subject to interview process). Salary is £35,000 to £45,000 per annum (depending on experience). UK and International travel may be required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sales & Business Development
    • Develop and execute a comprehensive sales plan to grow downflow booth sales across targeted regions and sectors.
    • Identify new business opportunities, market segments, and potential clients.
    • Manage the complete sales cycle-from lead generation and qualification through proposal development, negotiation, and contract closure.
    • Achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
  • Client Relationship Management
    • Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships with engineers, procurement teams, production managers, and senior decision-makers.
    • Conduct site visits, product demonstrations, and technical presentations.
    • Serve as a trusted advisor by understanding client processes, containment challenges, and regulatory needs.
  • Technical & Product Expertise
    • Maintain an in-depth understanding of downflow booths, airflow principles, filtration technologies, and relevant industry standards.
    • Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to prepare accurate specifications, quotations, and bespoke solutions.
    • Stay current with market trends, competitor offerings, and evolving customer requirements.
  • Collaboration & Reporting
    • Work closely with marketing to develop targeted campaigns, product collateral, and digital outreach.
    • Provide accurate sales forecasts, pipeline updates, and market intelligence.
    • Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Proven track record in technical sales, ideally within containment equipment, HVAC systems, cleanroom technology, or industrial engineered solutions.
  • Strong understanding of controlled environments, operator protection systems, and airflow/filtration concepts.
  • Experience managing complex, long-cycle sales processes involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to client sites, both domestically and internationally.
