I’m excited to be recruiting for an Area Sales Manager to cover South‑East England on behalf of our client who are a market leading timber processor. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a business that supplies high quality products to the construction, pallet wood, fencing and timber frame sectors and is known for its consistent growth and strong reputation.

With multiple sites across Scotland and Ireland they continue to invest heavily in its people, technology and operations. You’ll be joining a forward‑thinking, energetic sales team where your contribution will be valued and rewarded.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing and growing an established customer base while generating new business opportunities
  • Building and nurturing strong, long‑term relationships with key accounts, buying groups, and buying group members
  • Achieving (and ideally exceeding!) annual sales targets and milestones
  • Taking ownership of the territory and driving continued growth
  • Managing the full sales process and CRM, ensuring excellent account management and customer service
  • Planning journeys efficiently and maintaining regular contact with all accounts
  • Undertaking occasional overnight stays due to the size of the territory, as well as regular site and customer visits
What We Need from You

You’ll be an ambitious, self‑motivated, and enthusiastic sales professional with a proven track record of selling timber or building materials ideally into the builders’ merchant sector. Experience working with buying groups or their members is essential.
