Responsibilities
- Sales Manager role: Sell a memorable experience to guests who stay in the property, maintaining a professional and knowledgeable presence about the hotel, building strong relationships, and creating bonds with guests.
- Lead and manage day-to-day operations related to reservations and sales, ensuring weekly, biweekly, and monthly processes are followed.
- Generate new business through marketing initiatives and local research of potential local business.
- Actively manage business bookings and maintain relations with key entertainment clients and sports/football team travel managers.
- Ensure contracts, pro-forma invoices, credit checks are issued and followed up on.
- Represent the hotel in local stakeholder meetings and Accor sales events.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of industry/travel trends to develop and monitor the hotel’s commercial strategy in conjunction with the GM.
- Able to make commercial decisions to maximize MICE and Rooms income on a daily basis; strong top-line forecasting and revenue management.
- Great attention to detail and organisational skills to meet all deadlines for Groups, MICE & Corporate RFP requests.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to develop relationships with local clients, direct bookers and agency bookers, building a strong base of new and regular repeat business.
- Strong knowledge in quoting, converting, and managing large group bookings; experience in a large events-driven compset is preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the role.
