Job summary

A recruitment agency is seeking a Sales Manager to drive business growth and meet sales targets. The role involves identifying new business opportunities, managing existing accounts, and developing strategies for revenue growth. This full-time position is based in Brompton-on-Swale, with a salary of £50,000 per annum and Monday to Friday working hours.

Sales Manager

Salary: £50,000 per annum

Location: Brompton On Swale

Hours: Monday - Friday (office hours)

Main Scope of Job

Actively promote the business, supporting the business vision and objectives, ensuring they are at the forefront of all decisions made, both internally and externally.

Identify and pursue all new business opportunities across all channels.

Manage existing customer accounts, developing them in line with the business strategy, ensuring sales budgets are met, and growing revenue.

Retain business, by securing objective/achievable SLA's.

Maximise all Up/Cross Selling opportunities.

Responsible for project work as detailed by the Directors.

Responsibility
  • Identify and follow up on all new business opportunities, whether this be new customers or new products, ensuring that new / additional revenue is brought to the business on an annual basis.
  • Meet sales, profit and budgets, across designated accounts.
  • Fully support the Head of Sales in the preparation of materials for all business meetings whether internal or external.
  • Maintain excellent communication links with all key accounts.
  • Be fully knowledgeable about all products and services offered by the Business.
  • Fully understand the strategy and market position of customers.
  • Identify and report on new product launches, new packaging formats and any promotional/pricing initiatives witnessed in trade.
  • Undertake commercial negotiations including price, promotion, and NPD.
  • Liaise with our customers on a regular basis to develop & build strong relationships.
  • Write an annual budget and manage weekly/monthly forecasts and budget margin.
  • Understand customers trading strategies & forecasting.
  • Develop and maintain a customer database keeping it up to date and accurate containing precise information relating to each account.
  • Work with NPD to develop bespoke products for customers when required.
  • Work with Technical to ensure all customer technical requirements are met.
  • Keep the management team informed of all developments.
  • Attend and present at internal meetings as required and provide updates on your area of responsibility.
  • Enforce and comply with all company policies and procedures which are fundamental in maintaining effective performance, communications, and good business reputation.
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as and when required by the role.
