Overview

A fantastic opportunity for a Sales Manager to join a well established British manufacturer of process plant connectivity solutions supplied mainly to the food industry with a brief to grow sales. You will be working with a large blue chip installed base and lots of marketing generated enquiries with a very realistic team target and complete technical and sales support.

Location & commuting

LOCATION: Covering the whole UK, home based and ideally living on the M6 corridor between Birmingham & Manchester

COMMUTABLE LOCATIONS: Manchester, Birmingham, Stoke, Derby, Newcastle-under-Lyme, Nottingham

JOB DESCRIPTION: Sales Manager, Business Development Manager, Area Sales Manager - processing machinery, food industry

Responsibilities

A classic Sales Manager role working with a well established client base and developing new business from CRM and digital marketing enquiries.

Your role as Sales Manager is to identify and create client needs, to be able to communicate these technically back to the company to generate proposals and quotes and then to close.

Full technical and sales support alongside full product training will be given.

You will be working as part of a team with a team target.

Person specification / Qualifications
  • You MUST have a proven track record in field sales working for an industrial, engineering or technical company.
  • Ideally you WILL have sold capital equipment or a technical solution to the food industry.
  • Any specific experience of product handling or process plant connectivity solutions would be advantageous.
  • An engineering or technical background and qualifications would also be advantageous.
Benefits
  • BASIC SALARY: up to £60,000
  • BENEFITS: circa £10,000 OTE, Company Car, 6% Pension, Death in Service
The company

A very well established British manufacturer of process plant connectivity solutions including conveyors mainly supplied to the food industry with order values ranging from £10,000 up to £200,000 (and up to £500,000 for turnkey systems).

They have invested heavily in their CRM and Digital Marketing to support both winning business from their installed base but also to generate enquiries for new business.
