Qualifications

  • Educated to BSc level or higher in a scientific discipline.
  • Previous commercial/customer-focused experience is a plus.
  • Full UK Driving Licence is required.

Sales Executive – Material Science & Energy Applications

A well-respected international supplier of specialist scientific materials and instrumentation is seeking a Sales Executive to sell their range of innovative products into materials science and energy research laboratories.

This role involves providing materials and equipment to academic research laboratories across the UK and Europe, meeting sales targets, proactively engaging new customers through in-person and online meetings, providing quotations, and liaising with suppliers to offer a tailored product package after detailed, consultative, technical discussions.

This is a field-based scientific sales role requiring regular travel to customer sites (approximately 3-4 days per week). You will be the main point of contact for customers within a defined geographical area, engaging with researchers, PIs, and other stakeholders.

Candidate Requirements
  • Educated to BSc level or higher in Materials Science, Chemistry, Metallurgy, Physics or related scientific discipline
  • Previous commercial/customer-focused experience in a related or unrelated area (e.g., target-driven experience in another field)
  • Strong communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills
  • Full UK Driving Licence
