Overview

Sales Director - Starlink & Next Gen Connectivity

On-site in Livingston, Scotland

Our client is one of the leading authorised Resellers of Starlink in the UK, specialising in innovative connectivity solutions – including satellite internet (LEO - OneWeb/Starlink), SD-WAN, private 5G and wireless networking – helping organisations worldwide build reliable, secure, and scalable networks.

They are now seeking a Sales Director to lead the revenue operations, drive sustainable revenue growth, and expand market presence across enterprise and specialist sectors.

This is a senior leadership role with ownership of sales strategy, team performance, and customer acquisition, as well as positioning their Starlink offering as the leading solution for remote and resilient connectivity.

The ideal candidate will bring proven experience building and scaling sales organisations, with a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on leadership. You’ll play a central role in shaping the company’s go-to-market approach across the UK and internationally, forging long-term partnerships, and mentoring a growing sales team in a high-growth connectivity business.

Responsibilities
  • Define and execute the sales and go-to-market strategy, with a focus on scaling revenues across LEO satellite connectivity, SaaS platforms, SD-WAN, and private 5G.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing sales team, instilling a culture of accountability, customer focus, and commercial excellence.
  • Drive the end-to-end sales cycle for high-value opportunities, from executive-level prospecting through to negotiation and contract closure.
  • Build and maintain strategic relationships with enterprise, government, and industry verticals (e.g. logistics, construction, rail).
  • Collaborate with Product, Marketing, and Technical teams to shape solutions, influence roadmap, and optimise positioning in the market.
  • Oversee pipeline management, forecasting, and reporting, ensuring predictable growth and alignment with company objectives.
  • Represent the business as a thought leader at trade shows, industry events, and customer forums.
  • Contribute to executive-level commercial planning, including pricing strategy, partnerships, and new market entry.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in senior sales leadership roles, ideally in telecoms, SaaS, or connectivity (LEO satellite or IT networking experience a plus, but not essential).
  • Proven success in building, managing, and scaling sales teams in fast-growth businesses.
  • Strong track record of exceeding revenue and growth targets at a leadership level (in £10m+ ARR businesses).
  • Commercially astute with excellent negotiation skills and ability to close enterprise-level deals.
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, able to engage and influence at C-suite level.
  • Strategic thinker with a hands-on, growth-driven mindset.
  • Comfortable operating in a high-growth, entrepreneurial environment where agility and adaptability are key.
Benefits
  • Market-led compensation package + performance-based bonus (Revenue share, for example)
  • Private medical insurance.
  • Opportunity to shape and lead the sales function in a company doubling in size year-on-year.
  • Work with cutting-edge connectivity solutions in a dynamic, supportive team.
