The Company

Capital Markets Gateway LLC (CMG) is a capital markets-focused fintech transforming global equity capital markets (ECM) through data, technology, and connectivity. As the preferred source for ECM analytics and the first network connecting the buy-side and sell-side for ECM workflows, we are committed to reshaping how capital markets operate. Founded in 2017 by a team of ECM practitioners, CMG has completed three successful fundraising rounds and is backed by a group of the world\'s most prestigious financial institutions. The CMG platform is currently relied upon by nearly 150 buy-side firms representing $40 trillion in AUM and 22 global investment banks. For more information, please visit www.cmgx.io.

The Role

CMG is seeking a London-based Sales Director to spearhead our commercial expansion across the EMEA region. This is a unique opportunity to be the first international sales hire for a scaling US-based capital markets fintech. You\'ll be on the ground floor of CMG\'s growth in EMEA, playing a pivotal role in building the regional commercial strategy, securing flagship client wins, and establishing a local market presence.

The successful candidate will be responsible for meeting and exceeding their revenue growth targets by developing and closing new business with top-tier buy-side institutional investors and driving adoption of CMG\'s platform across the equity capital markets ecosystem. This role is ideal for a self-starter with an understanding of capital markets workflows, a proven track record in enterprise SaaS, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-accountability environment.

As CMG redefines how ECM desks operate through technology, your work will directly shape our international trajectory. You\'ll collaborate with Marketing, Product, and Customer Success teams to bring tailored, high-impact solutions to the market. Strong commercial instincts, domain fluency, and an owner\'s mentality will set you apart.

Responsibilities
  • Drive Revenue Growth: Identify and close new buy-side client relationships, while also working to expand existing clients into global partnerships, leading to revenue growth that exceeds set targets
  • Build Strategic Relationships: Establish trusted partnerships with senior decision-makers to increase CMG\'s visibility and influence across key clients
  • Develop Account Strategies: Work with Head of Buy-side Sales (NY) to create and execute tailored plans to displace competitors and accelerate adoption of CMG services
  • Identify Growth Opportunities: Uncover white-space and upsell opportunities, by understanding client needs and areas of opportunity to drive incremental revenue
  • Lead Cross-Functional Collaboration: Orchestrate efforts across Sales, Customer Success, and Solutions teams to deliver seamless client experiences, support onboarding, and drive user adoption. Serve as the voice of the customer (VOC) to influence product direction
Must-Have
  • 5-10+ years of demonstrated success closing complex, multi-stakeholder deals-ideally in fintech, SaaS, or capital markets data/analytics
  • Familiarity with equity capital markets (ECM) workflows, trading strategies, and research processes
  • Skilled in full-cycle sales: from prospecting and relationship-building to negotiation and contract close
  • Highly proficient in communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively adjust communication to the target audience (Heads of trading, research teams, and data/compliance, etc.)
  • Operates effectively in high-velocity environments with a bias for action and the skill to prioritize ruthlessly to manage competing priorities
  • Entrepreneurial mindset
Nice-to-Have
  • Existing EMEA Buy-side network
  • Pre-existing relationships with Hedge funds, Investment Managers, and Sovereign Wealth Funds.
  • Understanding of buy-side equity workflows, including investment strategies and the data involved in the trade decision process
  • SaaS scaling experience
  • Familiarity with product-led growth and navigating product/market fit in early-stage regions
What We Offer

  • Unlimited PTO (20 vacation days + unlimited additional paid leave)
  • Comprehensive benefits program managed by Globalization Partners

  • Top private medical and dental insurance
  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
