Customer Success Manager - Managed IT & Digital Services

Location: Cheltenham (predominantly office-based with travel across Gloucestershire)

Salary: £30,000-£40,000 basic + uncapped commission + annual bonus

Our client, a leading tech services provider, is hiring a Customer Success Manager to establish and grow their client base across Cheltenham and Gloucestershire. This is a pivotal, first-on-the-ground commercial role, focused on winning new clients and building a scalable, repeatable sales model for a new regional office.

You’ll work closely with engineers, consultants and developers to scope deliverable solutions, cost proposals, and hand over cleanly into onboarding and support. You’ll also play a key role in documenting what works, feeding back market insight, and helping to create a sales model that can be scaled as the team grows.

What you’ll do
  • Generate new business opportunities with SMEs, charities, schools and other organisations across Cheltenham and Gloucestershire
  • Map and prioritise target accounts, then engage decision makers via phone, email, LinkedIn and in-person meetings
  • Build and manage your own pipeline from first contact through to proposal, negotiation and close
  • Lead discovery meetings and demos (onsite and remote), uncovering current IT set-up, risks and future plans
  • Shape and sell solutions across managed IT support, cyber security, cloud, backup, and development services
What we’re looking for
  • Proven B2B new‑business sales experience, ideally in IT, technology, telecoms or SaaS
  • Background selling services or subscription models (managed services, SaaS, multi‑year contracts, recurring revenue)
  • Track record of self‑generating opportunities through cold outreach, networking and referrals
  • Strong questioning, listening and consultative selling skills, comfortable with non‑technical decision makers
  • Organised, self‑managing approach with experience using CRM or similar tools to manage pipeline and forecasts

The ideal candidate will bring a “door‑kicker” mindset – resilient, persistent and motivated by building something from scratch. You’ll be commercially aware, collaborative with technical teams, and confident representing a business known for reliable, proactive service.
