Job description

Our client, a family-run company specializing in the sales of sofas and beds, is looking for a competent and driven Sales Associate to join their dedicated Gloucester team.

As a Sales Associate, you will be based within the furniture showroom with the responsibility of meeting, greeting, and selling to customers who visit. You will also be using a range of sales channels available to generate and convert leads into successful sales.

No previous experience in the industry is required, as long as you have a positive and driven attitude towards work and an eagerness to learn. Full training will be provided.

Responsibilities:
  • Greeting customers into the store, responding to any queries they may have
  • Directing customers to merchandise within the store
  • Making calls to leads, working your way through a prospective customer list
  • Generating new leads and guiding them through the sales funnel
  • Introducing promotions and opportunities to customers
  • Up and cross-selling products to increase purchase amounts
  • Assisting to align marketing with sales performance
Candidate Attributes:
  • Previous experience working in a retail setting is beneficial
  • A strong desire to contribute to the company’s ongoing success
  • Good work ethic and positive ‘can do’ attitude
  • Exceptional customer service and people skills

Hours: Monday – Thursday, 9am – 6:30pm and Sunday, 9am – 4:30pm

Salary: Up to £40k OTE per annum, comprising your basic wage + very achievable commission and bonuses
