We’re looking for a Sales Assistant who’s not afraid to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in - whether it’s helping customers, lifting stock, or keeping the shop floor looking its best. This is more than just a retail job - it’s a chance to support a life-changing cause.

Why Join DEBRA?

DEBRA is the national charity supporting individuals and families affected by Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB) - a painful genetic skin condition. Every sale you make helps fund vital care, support, and pioneering research. You’ll be part of a passionate, inclusive team that truly cares.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Delivering top-notch customer service with a smile
  • Operating tills and handling transactions accurately
  • Creating eye-catching displays and keeping the shop floor tidy
  • Lifting, sorting, and pricing donated stock - often physically demanding
  • Promoting Gift Aid and encouraging donations
  • Working closely with volunteers and supporting the Shop Manager
  • Helping with stock movement, sometimes up and down stairs
  • Ensuring health and safety standards are always met

What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous retail experience in a busy environment
  • A team player with great communication skills
  • Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
  • Flexible to work weekends and bank holidays
  • Positive, proactive, and ready to make a difference

What We Offer:

  • Auto-enrolment pension with DEBRA contribution
  • Life assurance and employee assistance programme
  • Generous training budget and career progression
  • 20 days holiday + bank holidays (pro rata), with long service rewards
  • Staff discount and personalised recognition awards
  • Opportunities for apprenticeships and internships
