Our data is used by leaders in engineering, international development, finance, government, insurance and NGOs. This is an exciting time to work within the ever-changing, fast-paced climate risk space. We're looking for a Sales Administration and Support Executive to support our opportunity identification and development activities in the Engineering & Public Sector sectors.

Fathom recently joined the Swiss Re group, furthering its vision of becoming the gold standard in the provision of flood risk intelligence.

Founded in 2013, Fathom gives risk management professionals the most scientifically robust tools and intelligence to understand the climate's impact on water risk. By publishing cutting-edge peer-reviewed academic research and applying it to real-world challenges, Fathom powers better decision-making for (re)insurance, civil engineering, corporate risk, financial markets, disaster response and government. Fathom's dedicated team of scientists harness their passion for innovation and the environment to develop rigorous catastrophe models and comprehensive mapping and geospatial data that make a real-world difference to customers and communities worldwide. From 2023, Fathom is a part of Swiss Re, one of the world's leading providers of reinsurance, insurance and other forms of insurance-based risk transfer, working to make the world more resilient.

About the role

The main purpose of this role is to support existing sales teams from an account-based prospecting, development and administrative angle across global and US engineering consultancies and US public sector organisations. We are looking for someone who enjoys building the “beginning” of the sales pipeline and is happy to provide administrative support for the team. Success will be measured and bonused on an activity basis, not on closed sales. This position would therefore be ideal for someone who enjoys working in an exciting sales team environment, who wants to play an important role in building new business but who is not interested in a revenue-targeted, commission based position.

Responsibilities
  • Account development: Support the development of strategic US & global accounts for revenue growth
  • Prospecting and pipeline development: Identify prospects and perform outreach activities to targeted engineering and public sector organisations and qualify prospects and opportunities.
  • Lead management: Manage inbound leads, maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales activities and customer interactions in Salesforce.
  • Event support: Perform pre-event outreach and post event follow up activities for conferences we attend and webinars we host.
  • Proposal development: Assist in the development of proposals and presentations.
  • Sales administration: Provide administrative support to the sales team, including order processing in Salesforce, performing regulatory checks and scheduling meetings.
  • Reporting: Generate sales reports, dashboards, and analytics to provide insights into sales performance and trends.
  • Collaborate: Work closely with the engineering marketing team to support various marketing activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Essential - prior experience in a prospecting, sales administration or executive support role, ideally working in a high value, longer sales cycle B2B data, SaaS, DaaS or tech market.
  • Proficiency with SalesForce, Hubspot or other B2B CRM software.
  • Strong communication skills with social media sales networking (LinkedIn) preferably with LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Cognism or ZoomInfo experience.
  • Proven ability to communicate directly with clients and prospects via social media (LinkedIn), phone, email and events.
  • Established creative problem-solving approach and strong analytical skills.
  • Strong desire to work in a high-tech climate risk environment.
  • Highly organised, detail oriented.
  • Self-starter who enjoys working in a team but can work independently.
Benefits
  • Private medical insurance - Group life assurance
  • Group income protection
  • Health cash plan
  • Dental insurance
  • Enhanced family policies
  • Pension contributions matched up to 10%
  • 28 days + bank holidays
  • Subsidised gym memberships
  • Access to mental health cover and support
  • Cycle to work scheme
  • Personal training & development
