Overview

As a Safety Culture Lead, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. You'll be at the forefront of driving behavioural and cultural transformation across one of the UK's most critical defence sites. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on national defence while advancing your career in a dynamic and purpose-driven environment. Day-to-day, you'll lead the development and implementation of a safety culture strategy that fosters proactive safety behaviours, improves communication, and enhances performance across all levels of the organisation.

Responsibilities
  • Developing and leading the safety culture strategy and communication improvement plan
  • Conducting assessments, surveys, workshops and interviews to measure and improve safety culture
  • Collaborating with leadership and frontline teams to promote safety awareness and engagement
  • Working with the Learning from Experience team to analyse incidents and identify improvement areas
  • Planning and delivering seminars, training and workshops across the organisation

This role is full time, 35 hours per week and is based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard.

Essential experience

Qualifications
  • Degree in Psychology, Human Factors or a related discipline (Extensive equivalent demonstrable experience will be considered)
Security clearance

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
