An exciting opportunity based at our Lancaster site. This role is ideal for a self-motivated person looking for a career in ruminant agriculture. Working from our mill as part of the Formulations & Technical Team, the role involves both office-based feed formulation and support of the company's manufacturing plants, sales teams and customers. There is a track record of developing new starters from this role into a range of other roles within the Carr's Billington business.

Responsibilities
- To ensure that feed ingredients and manufactured feeds meet commercial, nutritional, feed safety and legal requirements, and to support the Formulations, Quality Control and Product Assurance Teams in their key roles.
- Support the Formulations Team in the creation and maintenance of the company\'s product formulations according to relevant legal, nutritional, cost and mill constraints and also in blend formulations at request of salespeople or the Formulations Team.
- To play a role in maintaining master data on the company\'s accounting software system.
- Review and circulate QC data, maintain the company\'s Format raw material matrix and action follow-up investigation and/or corrective action as required with support from the Formulations Manager and Raw Materials Manager.
- Assist in the implementation of and compliance with HACCP, the AIC Universal Feed Assurance Scheme (UFAS) at all manufacturing sites and the Feed Materials Assurance Scheme (FEMAS) for the Lancaster AminoMax Plant.
- Assist the CBAL Product Assurance Manager in administering the feed complaints system.
- Support the Lancaster Quality Controller in assessing and testing raw materials and finished products as required.
- Adhere to Company and Group policies and procedures, including but not limited to those relating to Safety, Health and Environmental.
- To ensure all relevant legislation and approved codes of practice are adhered to in respect of ongoing compliance, including but not limited to UFAS, FIAS & NOPS assurance schemes.
