Qualifications

  • Demonstrated technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience.

Mobile Vehicle Technician / Roadside Technician

Location: Guildford area

Reference: 29090

Salary: £40,000 (inclusive of London Weighting Allowance) and a realistic OTE of £60,000, with top‑performers earning significantly more through bonuses and enhanced overtime rates.

Hours: Start and finish on your driveway. Demand‑led shifts averaging 40 hours per week, with optional overtime available.

Role Overview – Roadside Technician:
  • Diagnose and repair vehicle problems, including engine, transmission, brake, suspension, and electrical issues.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire rotations, and brake inspections.
  • Use diagnostic tools and software to identify and resolve complex issues.
  • Keep accurate records of all work performed and parts used.
  • Communicate with customers about vehicle issues and repair recommendations.
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area.
  • Keep up to date with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques.
Requirements – Roadside Technician:
  • Level 3‑qualified Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Technician (City & Guilds, IMI, NVQ, or equivalent); a Level 2 qualification will be considered if you can demonstrate the required skills.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience within a vehicle workshop or as a Mobile Vehicle Technician.
  • Full UK driving licence – no more than 9 points or bans on the licence.
  • Demonstrated technical, electrical, and diagnostic experience.
