About the Role

The Risk Analyst will play a crucial role in the investment risk team, focusing on liaising between data and risk systems technology owners to facilitate accurate and efficient data feeds into Key Risk Indicators (KRI) and analysis. This position requires a deep understanding of risk management principles, data analysis, and technology systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Data Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact between the investment risk team and technology owners to ensure seamless data integration and accuracy.
  • Coding & Automation: Develop and maintain scripts or code (e.g., Python, SQL) to automate data validation, transformation, and reporting processes. Support enhancements to risk systems and tools through coding and technical input.
  • KRI Management: Develop, monitor, and report on Key Risk Indicators to provide insights into potential risks and their impact on investment portfolios.
  • Risk Analysis: Conduct detailed risk assessments, analyse data feeds, and provide comprehensive reports on findings.
  • Technology Integration: Collaborate with technology teams to enhance risk systems and ensure efficient data flow.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Communicate risk findings and recommendations to senior management and other stakeholders.
  • Compliance: Ensure all risk management activities comply with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices in risk management.
About the Candidate
  • Experience in risk analysis, preferably within the investment sector.
  • Strong understanding of investment risk concepts and frameworks.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in coding languages (Python, SQL or similar) and experience with data manipulation.
  • Familiarity with data architecture, system interfaces, and processes.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.

  • Work Environment: This role requires a high level of collaboration with various departments, including IT, compliance, and investment teams.
  • Travel: Occasional travel may be required for meetings and training sessions.
