Job summary

A technology services company is seeking a RHEL Openshift Subject Matter Expert (SME) to join their remote build team. The role involves building a Cloud Pak for Data environment and installing various Watson X components. Candidates must have SME skills in RHEL/OpenShift and CP4D, with a requirement for UK GOVT SC1 clearance. This position starts ASAP and lasts until the end of October.

Overview

Required: RHEL Openshift SME
Location: Fully Remote
IR35 Status: Inside
Duration: end of Oct initially
3 days per week

Responsibilities

• BUILD a CP4d environment
• Install of Cloud Pak for data on OpenShift Cluster
• Install of Watson X Discovery on CPD
• Install of WatsonX Orchestrate on CPD
• Install of Databases on CPD
• Installation and validation of one instance of watsonx.ai components: Watson Studio, WatsonX assistance, WatsonX Discovery, Watson Machine Learning and watsonx.ai
• Installation of WatsonX.Assistant, WatsonX.Discovery and WatsonX.AI in the environments

Activities

• The Cloud Pak for Data install consists of Installation of CPD on one OpenShift Clusters on Oracle Cloud. In one of the Clusters, we are setting up a name spaces for Dev/Test.
• Kick-off to set expectations for the engagement. This will help provide guidelines to the Client in terms of expected timeline and effort
• Work with Client to understand Security requirements, User access, Identity and Access Management etc.
• Validate that the OpenShift Clusters on Oracle Cloud are provisioned to required capacity levels
• Remote Assessment to review prerequisites necessary to deploy the Solution in preparation for the installation
• Checkpoint to assess Client readiness to start installation
• Installation and validation of one instance of watsonx.ai components: Watson Studio, WatsonX assistance, WatsonX Discovery, Watson Machine Learning and watsonx.ai
• Installation of WatsonX.Assistant, WatsonX.Discovery and WatsonX.AI in the environments
