Job description

Mothercare Global Brand is looking for a Retoucher to support the Studio team by ensuring all campaign & lifestyle images are retouched and delivered on time and to an excellent standard. The role of the Retoucher is to ensure that product accuracy and brand consistency is optimal.

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities

• Working to agreed image guidelines across all departments to deliver retouching services to ensure product is accurately presented and brand consistency is maintained
• Retouching campaign and lifestyle images for global usage across stores, online and print
• Aesthetic clean-up of product to ensure that product is accurately presented
• Tracking and monitoring own performance to ensure that productivity SLA’S are achieved
• Ensuring all images are labelled as per naming conventions
• Accurately follow retouch brief from the Photography Content and Process Manager
• Co-ordinate image retouch review meetings, actioning feedback promptly and accurately
• Maintaining high retouching standards, whilst ensuring all deadlines are met
• Ensuring all images are processed and filed correctly within the image database
• Contributing towards imagery reviews, demonstrating competitor awareness and being proactive in presenting opportunities for improvement
• Supporting with studio retouch as required
• Creating and maintaining the props catalogue
• Any reasonable additional requests

Knowledge and Skills

• Prior experience of lifestyle imagery retouch in a commercial brand is essential
• Technical proficiency with using Mac OS
• Highly skilled in Adobe Photoshop / Lightroom
• Working knowledge of Capture One Pro
• Good Microsoft Excel skills
• Proven ability to meet tight deadlines
• Organised with an excellent eye for detail
• Capable of working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated, positive and hard working
• A strong team player
• Good communication skills and able to build strong working relationships
