A great opportunity has arisen for a construction project manager to join a leading consultancy at the forefront of the industry.
Job Description: To manage and deliver the design and implementation of retail highway and car park related projects from feasibility through to construction and handover, programme, budget, quality, and health & safety requirements around the UK.
Responsibilities
- High level of communication across all levels of management, to develop and establish a brief for the project that clearly defines all objectives.
- Setting of measurable objectives and timelines of all elements within the projects; and managing other consultant disciplines and contractors to ensure delivery to cost, time and quality standards.
- Maintain records and work folders - ensuring all work is checked and appropriately approved for distribution.
- Managing of all retail construction / re-development projects in a live environment.
- Through engagement and consultation with our client and their stakeholder's
- Chair meetings, both internally and externally to capture actions and ensure these are closed out.
- Management of external design teams, cost management consultants and contractors is required to ensure timely completion within budget and timelines.
Qualifications
- Beneficial Skills / Qualifications:
- Educated to degree/HNC/HND or equivalent in relevant subject
- CSCS card - Black/gold/white (or possess the qualifications to achieve)
- Working with retail clients / Managing retail construction / redevelopment
- Skilled in PC usage and associated software including Microsoft Office (MS Excel in particular)
- Full driving license and own car with ability to travel within the UK
- Understanding of CDM Regulations
- Project Management / Strategic Planning
- Highway & Car Park Design Experience
- Programme Management
- Contract Administration
- Financial budgeting
- Ability to read and understand 2D drawings
