Job description
Overview

The post holder will assist the Resuscitation Manager and Lead Resuscitation Practitioner with the organisation and training of both basic and advanced life support to all staff groups within the Trust, including undergraduate medical students and qualified staff from medical, nursing and allied professions.

The post holder will also routinely attend cardiac arrests to provide clinical input and advice during the arrest and give feedback following an arrest.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the Resuscitation Manager and Lead Resuscitation Practitioner with organising and delivering basic and advanced life support training.
  • Attend cardiac arrests to provide clinical input and advice and give feedback.
  • Support the Trust’s resuscitation strategy and continuous improvement processes.
Qualifications
  • NMC or HCPC registration is required.
  • Prior clinical experience in an acute area is essential.
  • Experience of delivering training is preferred.
  • Good understanding of resuscitation protocols and documentation.
