Restaurant Manager - Terrace Restaurant

45 hours, 5 days out of 7
Up to £38,000 per annum DoE

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic and experienced Restaurant Manager to lead our Terrace Restaurant team to ensure smooth operation and delivery of all food and beverage throughout our restaurant, bar, and country club. The ideal candidate should have excellent attention to detail, dedicated hosting and customer service skills, along with a good business acumen to drive success across the operation.

The Terrace serves contemporary food and drink, with a real ‘estate to plate’ focus. Our menus for both food and drinks emphasise seasonal and local produce inspired by the fruit, vegetables and herbs grown in the hotel’s four-acre walled garden.

Who we are

Swinton Estate is situated in the Yorkshire Dales and is one of the largest privately owned estates in England. Constantly developing we boast Swinton Park, a luxury traditional castle hotel with 42 bedrooms, three holiday cottages and award‑winning Samuel’s Restaurant; a luxurious country club and spa including the contemporary Terrace Restaurant; Swinton Bivouac a glamping site with tree lodges, yurts and café, and last but by no means least the Swinton cookery school.

Responsibilities
  • The overall smooth running of Samuels Restaurant
  • Training and development of the team
  • Development and maintenance of operating standards
  • Compiling weekly rota
  • Control of weekly/monthly payroll and costs
  • Ensure bar stock levels are maintained by calculating inventory, ordering and retrieving supplies.
  • Evaluate cost effectiveness of all aspects of operation by developing and implementing cost‑saving and profit‑enhancing measures.
