Responsibilities
  • To greet all guests (whether resident or non-resident) and welcome them to Grantley Hall, ensuring they feel comfortable and looked after
  • Work alongside the Restaurant Manager and Assistant Manager to run the shifts
  • Meeting and greeting customers, organising table reservations
  • Deal responsibly with payment transactions and maintain strict control of the bills
  • Ensure each customer receives impeccable service
  • Deal with customer enquirers and reservations accurately and promptly in the absence of the reservations department
  • Provide first-class customer service and be highly organised with good communication skills, both face to face and over the phone
  • Maintain good working relationships with colleagues and all other departments
  • Arrange for special services requested by the guest
  • Respond to any changes in the department as dictated by the needs of the industry, company or hotel
  • Adopt a hands-on approach to work, remaining productive and seeking to improve
  • Demonstrate passion for delivering excellent Michelin star service to all guests
  • Be detail-oriented and drive standards
  • Possess a positive attitude and a desire to learn
  • Be able to meet deadlines and work under pressure
  • Be friendly, courteous and helpful with excellent communication skills
