Responsibilities
- To greet all guests (whether resident or non-resident) and welcome them to Grantley Hall, ensuring they feel comfortable and looked after
- Work alongside the Restaurant Manager and Assistant Manager to run the shifts
- Meeting and greeting customers, organising table reservations
- Deal responsibly with payment transactions and maintain strict control of the bills
- Ensure each customer receives impeccable service
- Deal with customer enquirers and reservations accurately and promptly in the absence of the reservations department
- Provide first-class customer service and be highly organised with good communication skills, both face to face and over the phone
- Maintain good working relationships with colleagues and all other departments
- Arrange for special services requested by the guest
- Respond to any changes in the department as dictated by the needs of the industry, company or hotel
- Adopt a hands-on approach to work, remaining productive and seeking to improve
- Demonstrate passion for delivering excellent Michelin star service to all guests
- Be detail-oriented and drive standards
- Possess a positive attitude and a desire to learn
- Be able to meet deadlines and work under pressure
- Be friendly, courteous and helpful with excellent communication skills
- Be motivated to go the extra mile for guests and colleagues
- Use own initiative with willingness to go above and beyond in supporting the wider Grantley Hall team
