An exciting opportunity has arisen within the existing Respiratory Nurse Team at Stockport NHS Foundation Trust. We are looking to recruit a band 6 nurse with a keen interest in Respiratory Medicine.
As a respiratory nursing team, it is expected we are able to support with the whole spectrum of non‑malignant respiratory disease, including but not limited to Asthma, COPD, Pulmonary Vascular Disease, Tuberculosis, Bronchiectasis, Pleural Disease, Interstitial Lung Disease, Sleep medicine and Chronic Respiratory Failure.
Whilst no single specialist nurse can be an expert in all areas, it is expected that all team members proactively develop subspecialty skill sets in one or more of these disease groups, to allow the nursing team as a whole to contain the skills necessary to support our consultant colleagues in the management of the full spectrum of respiratory disease afflicting our patient community.
This specialist role will support the organisation in the delivery of care for respiratory patients and their families. This will be in accordance with the philosophy and standards of care within the specialty, ensuring that Trust values and beliefs are upheld.
This role will look to suit a motivated, enthusiastic individual. The ideal candidate must demonstrate the ability to work under pressure, be adaptable to change and thrive in an environment with a varied workload.
This is a permanent role at 37.5 hours per week.
Successful applicants will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check at a cost of £54.90, which will be deducted from the first Trust salary. It is a condition of employment to join the DBS update service and pay the annual subscription fee of £16.
