A strong opportunity to join a long-established regional firm with a well-regarded residential conveyancing practice and an increasingly prominent specialist leasehold capability. This role offers a steady, high-quality caseload, strong professional support and the chance to broaden your experience across both mainstream transactions and more technical leasehold matters.

What You'll Be Doing

You will take responsibility for a varied portfolio of residential work while operating within a cohesive property group known for reliability, clear communication and well-structured processes.

  • Running freehold and leasehold sales and purchases with autonomy, from initial instruction through to completion
  • Handling remortgages, transfers of equity and investment/buy-to-let transactions for a broad client base
  • Investigating and reporting on title, including covenants, easements, boundaries and other issues requiring practical, solution-focused advice
  • Using an efficient case management system to maintain accuracy, progression and regulatory compliance
  • Working alongside specialist leasehold colleagues on enfranchisement, lease extensions and reform-related matters as appropriate
  • Maintaining open communication with clients, agents, lenders and other advisers to ensure momentum throughout the transaction
  • Upholding strong risk management and due diligence standards in line with the firm's accredited conveyancing framework
  • Contributing to the team's reputation for responsiveness, clarity and reliable client care
About You

You will be a capable residential property solicitor who combines solid technical knowledge with a calm, client-focused approach.

  • 2+ years' PQE (or equivalent experience) within residential conveyancing
  • Confident managing your own mixed caseload, with appropriate support available
  • Organised, proactive and able to keep multiple files moving without compromising attention to detail
  • Strong communicator, able to explain issues clearly and guide clients through each stage of the process
  • Comfortable with modern IT systems, online platforms and case management tools
  • Interested in expanding your exposure to more complex titles, investment work or specialist leasehold matters as part of your development
  • Collaborative, approachable and positive in your engagement with colleagues, clients and referrers
What's on Offer

You will join a property practice known for its professionalism, established client relationships and strong support infrastructure.

  • A steady flow of residential work with room to take on higher-value or more complex matters as your experience increases
  • Access to an expanding national-reach leasehold department for those wishing to develop in enfranchisement or reform work
  • Well-developed systems supported by recognised conveyancing accreditation, offering confidence, structure and lender credibility
  • A working environment praised for clear communication, efficiency and partner accessibility
  • A friendly, collaborative culture across offices, with genuine recognition of individual contribution
  • Competitive benefits including generous holiday allowance and hybrid working
  • The opportunity to build your profile within a respected regional firm with a strong, integrated property platform
The Firm

You will be joining a multi-office Sussex practice with a longstanding presence in the region and a strong reputation across both residential conveyancing and specialist leasehold work. The property group is highly integrated, supporting lawyers with expertise across commercial, residential and leasehold matters. Known for practical advice, responsive service and strong client relationships, the firm offers a stable and well-supported environment in which to progress your residential property career.
