Overview

Stephen James Consulting are working with one of their expanding elderly care providers in the search for a Home Manager for a medium-sized residential care home based in Derbyshire.

This key leadership role will be responsible for driving quality improvement, staff engagement, and commercial performance within a well-established home providing high-quality residential care for older people.

Responsibilities
  • Overseeing the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring compliance with CQC and company standards
  • Leading, developing, and supporting staff to deliver person-centred, compassionate care
  • Implementing robust action plans to improve quality and CQC outcomes
  • Managing budgets, occupancy, and staffing to achieve strong operational performance
  • Building positive relationships with residents, families, and external stakeholders
Qualifications / Requirements
  • At least 2 years' experience as a Registered or Home Manager within residential care for older people
  • Proven experience in turnaround or service improvement environments
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills with the ability to inspire teams
  • NVQ Level 5 in Leadership & Management (or working towards)
