We are looking for a confident and experienced Deputy Manager to join our friendly and well-established 28-bed residential care home. The home supports adults with a wide range of needs including dementia, learning disabilities, physical and sensory impairments, and complex care requirements such as palliative care, acquired brain injury, and Parkinson's.
As Deputy Manager, you will work closely with the Registered Manager to ensure high standards of care, staff support, and smooth day-to-day operations. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll be involved in care delivery, team supervision, compliance, and resident wellbeing.
Your responsibilities will include:
Supporting the management team with daily operations
Leading care shifts and supervising support staff
Ensuring up-to-date care plans, risk assessments, and medication records
Assisting with audits, training, and rota management
Promoting person-centred, dignified, and safe care
Supporting with inspections, quality standards, and compliance
Previous experience in a senior care role (essential)
Minimum Level 3 in Health & Social Care, willing to work toward Level 5 if not already achieved
Strong understanding of care regulations, safeguarding, and team leadership
Excellent communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills
Medication trained and confident in delivering high standards of care
