A children's care organization in Scotland is seeking individuals to support young people and help foster a nurturing environment. Key responsibilities include supporting emotional and physical needs, contributing to care plans, and encouraging positive relationships. Ideal candidates should have a background in care or education, strong communication skills, and a commitment to building trusting relationships. The role offers a range of benefits including a contributory pension plan and support for training and development.
Do you want to support children and young people to feel safe, valued and included? As part of our Children and Family Services team, you will help create a nurturing environment where relationships and consistent care promote healing and growth.
You will bring experience in care or education (desirable), reflective practice, strong communication skills, collaborative working, and an understanding of trauma and attachment. You will hold a full manual driving licence and be willing to register with the SSSC or work toward the necessary qualifications. We will also consider candidates with no formal qualifications who can demonstrate strong transferable skills, the right values, and a genuine commitment to supporting young people. We are looking for people who are hands‑on, able to build trusting relationships with young people and have a fun, engaging approach.
You will join a team that values relational, child‑centred practice and supports your development. Your work will help young people feel safe, understood and empowered, and you will see the difference your consistency and compassion make each day.
Apply today to secure a January or February start and take your next step toward a rewarding role supporting young people.
We offer a range of benefits including access to exclusive retail and leisure discounts through our rewards scheme and the Blue Light Discount card, a generous contributory pension plan with a death in service benefit, enhanced family‑friendly policies, a health cash plan for a variety of health treatments, and a care concierge service to assist with life’s challenges. We also support your training and development, covering professional membership fees and helping you advance your career.
All candidates who are recruited will be required to hold an appropriate Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) check and be registered with the SSSC. You must also meet UK work‑authorisation requirements. We are committed to creating an inclusive and inspiring environment and recognise that every individual’s unique background, experience and ability contributes to our success.
