A social care organization in Cumnock is seeking a compassionate Residential Childcare Worker for a part-time position. Job Title: Residential Childcare Worker (Part-Time)

Hours: 24 hours per week (3 shifts per week – Early and Late shifts)

Location: Cumnock, East Ayrshire

Salary: £15p/h PAYE

Are you a compassionate, resilient, and dedicated individual looking to make a real difference in the lives of young people with complex needs?

We are currently seeking Residential Childcare Workers to join a caring and committed team. You will work 24 hours per week, over 3 shifts, with a combination of early and late shifts. Flexibility is essential to meet the needs of the young people in our care.

Responsibilities
  • Provide day-to-day care, guidance, and support tailored to each young person’s needs
  • Support with personal care routines in a respectful and dignified manner
  • De-escalate challenging behaviours using trained approaches and maintain a calm, consistent presence
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues and other professionals to support individual care plans
  • Promote independence, self-esteem, and social inclusion
