To support multiple upcoming vacancies across the HCA Hospital Group in London, commencing early next year Hiring Now.

  • Role: Resident Doctors – Oncology/ Adult Cancer Service .
  • (Inpatients and Outpatients )
  • Town / Site: London | HCA Healthcare UK Hospitals
  • Part Time or Full Time: Part Time, 2 or 3 × 12-hour shifts per week (weekdays)
  • Contract Type: Permanent minimum 2 years commitment.
  • Salary: £70,000–£80,000 FTE (40 hours per week), per annum, dependent on skills, qualifications and experience, and specialism competencies.

This could include helping to shape the services you deliver through speaking up forums, patient satisfaction focus groups, clinical governance or MDT meetings. What you will do
  • Provide day-to-day inpatient medical management, including clerking planned and unplanned admissions, undertaking daily ward rounds, and leading routine clinical reviews.
  • Manage acutely unwell patients, respond to medical emergencies and contribute to end‑of‑life care as required.
  • Support continuity of care across both inpatient and outpatient pathways in partnership with our established multidisciplinary team.
  • Develop close working relationships with internationally recognised Haematology and Oncology Consultants and Professors.
  • Manage patient care plans, including prescribing medications, coordinating treatments, and monitoring patient progress. Ensure appropriate follow‑up care and address any concerns or complications during treatment, as directed by the Lead Consultant and in collaboration with the Nurse in Charge.
  • Carry out comprehensive handovers between Resident Doctors at each shift change and maintain accurate patient records using EHR systems.
  • Support intra‑hospital transfers and, on occasion, inter‑hospital or external transfers as required.
  • Participate in the hospital emergency response team, where applicable, providing urgent medical attention to staff and visitors until admission.
  • Build relationships with private practice Lead Consultants and Professors, specialists in Oncology/ Adult Cancer Service Lines.
What You’ll Bring
  • GMC Registration and Licence to Practise in the UK
  • Completion of Foundation Training and a minimum of IMT-2 or Core Medical Training (CMT-2) / equivalent experience
  • At least 2 years’ experience in Oncology/Cancer
  • Full MRCP
  • A strong commitment to teamwork and patient‑focused care, with the ability to share best practice and deliver a first‑class patient experience
