A research-intensive university in the UK is looking for a Research Finance Manager to provide vital financial support for academic projects. This role involves managing complex research grants and offering advice to researchers while ensuring compliance with funding regulations. The ideal candidate will have experience in research finance and strong analytical skills. The position offers a full-time, 12-month fixed-term contract, excellent benefits, and a hybrid working approach.
As the research finance expert, this role is a key point of financial advice and support to academic researchers, Institute Administrative staff and other University departments involved in post award administration, and will manage a portfolio of research projects, many large and / or complex.

Salary : Grade 7 from : £39,607.00 to £46,771.00 inclusive of London Weighting with potential to progress to £50,858.00 per annum inclusive of London Weighting.

As a member of the Brunel Management Accounts Team, this role provides leadership on research grant management. The post holder is responsible for providing a comprehensive and high-quality post award service for externally funded research and related projects of the University. As the research finance expert, this role is a key point of financial advice and support to academic researchers, Institute Administrative staff and other University departments involved in post award administration, and will manage a portfolio of research projects, many large and / or complex. The post holder is also responsible for a range of tasks to assist in planning, monitoring, reporting and to inform decision making
