A leading educational institution in Oxford seeks a Research Associate to investigate extracellular vesicle biogenesis and biomarkers in Parkinson's disease. The candidate will analyze blood biosamples and use iPSC-based models within a multidisciplinary team. This full-time fixed term position offers a salary range of £39,424 - £47,779, with a potential lower grade for less experienced candidates.
We are seeking an ambitious and highly motivated Research Associate to work on a programme of research that investigates extracellular vesicle biogenesis and biomarkers in Parkinson's disease. The study will involve analysis of blood biosamples from patient cohorts to validate biomarkers and the use of iPSC-based models to identify novel markers of pathology. The post offers an excellent opportunity for mechanistic and translational research using state-of-the-art models and facilities available at the Kavli Institute for Nanoscience Discovery and Nuffield Department of Clinical Neurosciences at the University of Oxford. The post-holder will work alongside a multidisciplinary team in the Molecular Neurodegeneration Research Group including clinicians and basic scientists.
