A local government organization is seeking a highly motivated individual for a research and evaluation role. The successful candidate will design and deliver impactful research projects, helping teams understand and apply research for improved local outcomes. This permanent position offers a salary between £41,771 - £44,075 and will involve collaboration with various teams to drive decision-making through evidence-based insights.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to inspire and support colleagues to understand and embed the use of research and evaluation. This role is an exciting opportunity for someone who is passionate about using research and evaluation to shape decision-making and improve outcomes for local people and places.
This role will work closely with the Research and Evaluation Lead to:
The role will also contribute to, and promote, the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) Local Authority Research Practitioner (LARP) national network. LARPs are committed to promoting the benefits of evidence-led decision making in Local Authorities.
You’ll be part of a team that values innovation, collaboration, and impact. The role sits within our Data and Insight Service and will have opportunities to work closely with our Consultation and Engagement, Data Analytics, Spatial, Data Visualisation and Data Engineering teams. We’re committed to creating an inclusive environment where your ideas and contributions are highly valued and supported.
You’ll also be part of a national Local Authority Research Practitioner (LARP) network and will have access to training and networking opportunities facilitated by the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) for the first two years of the role.
