CPFT R&D serves multiple functions within the Trust, all of which serve to increase the relevance of the research undertaken. We encourage a research culture within the Trust, promoting collaborative arrangements with both internal and external researchers, whilst maintaining a national research profile. The department continuously reviews systems and processes to ensure research meets the requirements of the UK Policy Framework for Health and Social Care Research and the regulatory frameworks governing both clinical and academic research. This is an exciting secondment opportunity for a skilled administrator to join the expanding research and development (R&D) team in Peterborough. The post holder will provide administrative support to the R&D department, primarily based at the Cavell Centre (Peterborough). This will include being the first point of contact for the R&D team and will involve duties such as meeting and greeting research study participants and visitors, receiving initial enquiries and directing telephone calls. There will be an expectation for the post holder to be flexible and multi‑skilled with excellent organisational skills. They will possess excellent working knowledge of all Microsoft Office systems including Word and Excel. The post holder will be able to work to high standards relating to administrative processes, will be key in maintaining diaries and arranging meetings, taking formal minutes and keeping appropriate records on the most up to date templates.
