Renewable Energy Sales Consultant

Location: Middlesborough
Salary: £27,000-£30,000 basic + uncapped commission

About the Role

We are supporting a rapidly growing renewable energy company that specialises in Solar PV, Battery Storage, EV Charging, and Heat Pump solutions. They are looking for a Sales Consultant to join their team and help drive residential and/or commercial low‑carbon projects across the UK.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with technical sales experience to join a growing sector and boost their career.

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle warm leads generated through the company's marketing campaigns, ensuring timely engagement and follow‑up
  • Conduct consultations either remotely or on‑site to understand customers' energy needs and requirements
  • Prepare tailored proposals for solar PV, battery storage, EV chargers, and air source heat pump (ASHP) systems using CRM and design software
  • Present clear, customer‑focused solutions highlighting financial savings and energy efficiency benefits
  • Manage the sales pipeline effectively, turning quotes into confirmed orders while maintaining excellent customer communication
  • Work closely with technical and installation teams to coordinate project delivery and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Keep informed of new products, industry developments, manufacturer updates, and market trends
  • Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of customer interactions, quotations, and site information
What We're Looking For
  • Proven experience in a customer‑facing sales role; experience in renewable energy is a plus but not essential
  • Strong communication and customer engagement skills
  • Highly motivated, organised, and capable of managing a busy sales pipeline effectively
  • Comfortable using quoting tools, spreadsheets, and design software (training provided if needed)
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for site visits as required
