Job summary

A leading irrigation company is seeking a Sales and Technical Support professional based in Wallingford. The role involves promoting Toro, Perrot, and Otterbine products across the Southern UK, requiring strong sales and communication skills alongside technical knowledge of the products. Successful candidates will manage project sales, maintain customer relationships, and provide product training and support.

Qualifications

• Technical knowledge of irrigation products, though training will be provided.
• Previous sales experience in the turf industry is advantageous.
• Sound understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering principles is a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong administrative, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead negotiations and manage project sales within the territory.
• Respond to customer queries and drive after-sales opportunities.
• Develop relationships to increase product awareness.
• Facilitate product training for stakeholders.
• Maintain detailed reports of irrigation project visits.

Skills

Technical knowledge of Toro & Perrot Irrigation

Sales experience with irrigation/aeration products

Understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering principles

Computer literacy (Microsoft Office)

Excellent communication and customer service skills
