Job summary

A prominent defence contractor is seeking a Project Manager for a fixed-term contract to support defence-sector programmes. In this remote role, you'll lead project delivery, manage subcontractor work packages, and ensure all milestones, quality, and compliance requirements are met, with regular travel to the island. The ideal candidate should have strong organisational skills and be proficient in MS Project. This position offers an annual salary of £50,000 - £55,000.

Qualifications

  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Proficient in MS Project.
  • Experience managing schedules, RAID logs, and EVM.
  • Background in technical and regulated environments.
  • Eligible for UK Security Clearance.
  • Project Management qualification or relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage project plans, schedules and resources.
  • Lead customer communication and project reviews.
  • Manage subcontractor deliverables.
  • Maintain RAID logs and drive mitigations.
  • Ensure defence compliance and security requirements.
  • Monitor budgets and support reporting.
  • Liaise with engineering teams and manage Technical Queries.

Skills

Strong organisational and communication skills
Proficient in MS Project
Experience with schedules, RAID logs, EVM and subcontractor management
Background in technical / engineering / regulated environments
