Overview

Relief Social Care Assistant, Trianaid & TACUN Care Homes
Salary: £15.38 per hour (inclusive of £1.48 Distant Islands Allowance per hour)

This role involves working as part of a team to promote and support Adults with Support Needs to actively participate in local resources and facilities, to maximise inclusion, independence and planned outcomes. The role may be in a variety of settings and can include overnight support where necessary.

  • Provide care across different settings, including overnight support where required.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Understanding of the rights and responsibilities of people with support needs; ability to listen effectively and communicate clearly; ability to work as part of a team.
  • SVQ Level II in Care (or equivalent). If not held, must have the ability to undertake and achieve this qualification within 36 months after registration with the SSSC.
  • Wearing and use of PPE is essential in this role.
  • Post subject to membership of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with Adults.
Additional Information
  • Salary for the post is inclusive of Distant Islands Allowance. Appointment will be at the first point of grade with annual incremental progression.
