Position Overview

We have an exciting opportunity for a Release and Transfer Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Brixton, located in London.

Hours & Salary

This is a full‑time role, working 37.5 hours per week.

Salary up to £45,331 per annum, depending on experience.

Candidate Requirements

Legal right to work in the UK on a permanent basis is required. Due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks.

Main Duties of the Job
  • Manage the assessment of health needs, planning, delivery and evaluation of care, for the prison population, including clinical risk assessment.
  • Provide care and planning for adult male prisoners from the point of reception until the day of release or transfer to another establishment.
  • Work collaboratively with the patient and any other agencies to support a safe transition back into the community or another establishment.
