Job description

Our Risk and Regulatory team are lookingfor a Regulatory Lead to join their team. You will have a key role inensuring we meet all our regulatory requirements, whilst supporting the Head ofRisk in imparting your knowledge to the wider team and business.

The role

Here is a snapshot of what you can expect to work on in this newly created position:

  • Leading on anti-money laundering compliance, in particular in relation compliance.
  • Leading on data protection systems within the firm
  • Identifying and delivering training across the firm
  • Drafting and maintaining policies, procedures, and controls
  • Horizon scanning and implementing changes into the business
  • Acting as the lead on other regulatory requirements such as anti-bribery & corruption, anti-facilitation of tax evasion, modern slavery and anything else applicablen
  • Compiling of management information for key stakeholders
  • Supporting the wider team as needed on compliance matters, as well as strategic projects and new initiatives
What we are looking for

To be successful in your application you will need to demonstrate extensive compliance experience in a legal firm, where you have been responsible for the distinct advantage due to the nature of the role and the legal knowledge required to carry out your responsibilities. This is a senior role within the compliance function, reporting directly into the Head of Risk.

The role is based in Leeds with the ability to work from home 2-3 days per week.

The team

Our Risk and Regulatory team are central to the firm and are involved in all aspects of compliance – supporting the business on regulatory and compliance topics, as well as maintaining systems and procedures to ensure compliance with the SRA Standard and Regulations, data protection legislation, anti-money laundering regulations and much more.
