The practice emphasizes a supportive team environment and offers benefits like competitive salaries, annual leave, and CPD opportunities. You’ll be part of a close-knit team dedicated to delivering high-quality animal care, with a focus on employee wellbeing and professional development.
We’re looking for an experienced RVN to join our newly relocated Summerhill Veterinary Centre practice from May 2026.
The Role
We’re looking for a GP RVN to make the most of their clinical skills. You’ll care for inpatients and day patients, support theatre and anaesthesia, and manage admissions, discharges, and post-op care. Our nurse-led clinics cover chronic care, blood pressure checks, vaccinations, and wellness assessments, helping our vets deliver holistic care. The rota includes specialised roles including theatre support, hospital, clinic, and consult support nurses, so you can work to your strengths. We also support development in areas of interest.
Summerhill Veterinary Centre is a well-equipped, RCVS-accredited small animal practice in Fakenham, Norfolk, serving both first-opinion and local referral cases. We’re relocating to a purpose-built site in April 2025 to expand our services and facilities. We’re a friendly, professional, team-focused practice that values the development and wellbeing of all staff. As a veterinary nurse training practice, we support our team to find their niche and grow their skills. Based in a close-knit rural community, we’re near the North Norfolk beaches, pinewoods, and the Norfolk Broads, and just 1.75 hrs from central London by train.
Join a supportive, skilled team of 8 vets, 11 nurses, and 2 care assistants, with additional reception and admin staff. Our Clinical Directors actively promote nurse development, supporting CPD and certificate courses, and designing rotas to play to your strengths.
Normal working days are Monday to Friday, with shifts scheduled between 8:00am and 8:00pm.
