A family-run veterinary practice in the UK seeks a dedicated RVN to join their friendly team. Candidates will engage in clinical nursing, supporting patient care, diagnostics, and client education. The role offers flexibility with a standard 4-day work week, opportunities for progression, and a salary up to £32,000 (pro-rata). Enjoy working in a supportive environment that values team collaboration and personal growth.
Welcome to Wallace Vets. A practice where you’re valued, can grow, and nursing really means nursing.
Are you an RVN who loves using your skills, being trusted as a clinical professional, and working in a genuinely friendly team? Looking for an independent practice that gives you freedom, balance, and support?
For over 20 years, we’ve been caring for pets across Dundee and Angus, growing from a single site to a thriving family-run independent practice with three branches in Broughty Ferry, Carnoustie, and Arbroath. Our dedicated, experienced team of 60 ensures that, despite our size, we’ve kept a warm, one-team, family feel. Everyone knows everyone, supports each other, and everyone has a voice.
At Wallace Vets, we believe our RVNs are valued clinical professionals. That’s why we make sure you get to use all your skills and grow them too.
“I love working at Wallace Vets because it fits perfectly around my busy family life, and management are all so accommodating when things crop up. I love the team. I feel they really embrace everyone's quirks, and I can be unapologetically myself. On top of all of this, they have also encouraged and supported my own personal projects both with them and out of the company.” Casey, RVN
“I've been part of the team for over 9 years, and I still look forward to coming to work every day. What I love most is the variety – no two days are ever the same, especially with different practices to work in. The team spirit is fantastic; we're always there to support each other and keep the mood light. And, of course, who wouldn't love cuddling cats and dogs as part of their job? Plus, the management team is incredibly supportive. When I expressed interest in clinical coaching, they backed me all the way, and now I have the pleasure of mentoring a student in vet nursing.” Stacey, RVN
We’re looking for a dedicated, proactive RVN who wants to make a real impact in patient care. Whether you’re experienced, newly qualified, or soon-to-qualify (finished your NPL and waiting on OSCEs), we can support you.
You’ll be hands-on every day, involved in inpatient care, diagnostics, radiography, dental procedures, client education, and clinical decision‑making. If you’re passionate about nursing, you’ll thrive here.
We want our RVNs to enjoy a genuine work‑life balance, with flexibility that fits your lifestyle—so you have time to spend with loved ones, pursue hobbies, or simply recharge.
At Wallace Vets, the people really are the best part of the job. With nearly 60 team members, the team is built on connection and collaboration. Because our whole team works across all three sites, you get to know everyone and feel part of a truly united group. There’s always someone to laugh with, share knowledge, or enjoy a coffee break with.
We’re social, outdoors‑loving, and community‑minded, and we make time to enjoy life together. Our team has a WhatsApp social group to organise everything from goat yoga outings and cocktail nights to team dog walks, wild swimming groups, and fitness challenges. Plus, we have our annual summer party and big Christmas night out for the whole team.
Our team extends beyond the clinic, actively supporting the community and local initiatives, sports groups, and charities throughout the year, reflecting the same care and commitment we bring to our patients.
If you’re moving to the area, you’ll love it here. Dundee is widely regarded as Scotland’s sunniest city, has been named “Scotland’s coolest city” by GQ, and was featured by Lonely Planet as one of Europe’s top destinations, thanks to its vibrant cultural scene and stunning waterfront. Compact and walkable, yet packed with character, the city offers a perfect balance of city life and nature, with beaches, hills, and the River Tay all on your doorstep. It’s also far more affordable than many other parts of Scotland, making it an ideal place to live, work, and explore.
In just 20–30 minutes, you can be paddleboarding, hiking, trail running, exploring the Glens, or enjoying the cafés along the coast, and it’s just an hour or so to Edinburgh, with Glasgow and Aberdeen also within easy reach.
At Wallace Vets, you’ll do the work you trained for, feel valued doing it, and be part of a team that feels like family. Get in touch for an informal chat, or apply today.
