Job description

We’re looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) to join our friendly and vibrant team here at Vets For Pets Croydon

Our bright, spacious, and air-conditioned practice is built to industry-leading standards, featuring separate dog and cat kennelling areas to ensure a calm and comfortable environment for all our patients. We’re well-equipped with state-of-the-art facilities, including digital x-ray, dental x-ray, endoscope, ultrasound, and an in-house laboratory.

Our practice is conveniently located next to Waddon Train Station, making commuting by train easy. We’re also close to East Croydon Station, with excellent tram and bus connections.

Croydon offers direct train links into London Bridge, London Victoria, and London Kings Cross in just 15 minutes, and easy road access to the M25 and M23-perfect for reaching Gatwick Airport (30 mins) or Heathrow Airport (45 mins).

You’ll be joining a welcoming, experienced, and supportive team who work closely together to provide the highest standard of care for our patients and clients. Our team is made up of:

• 7 Veterinary Surgeons
• 6 Registered Veterinary Nurses
• 1 Practice Manager
• 4 Student Veterinary Nurses
• 5 Client Care Advisors

We have three Clinical Directors; Obi, who brings over 25 years of experience, he has a strong interest and extensive expertise in internal medicine, abdominal ultrasound and soft tissue surgery. Luis, who brings 11 years of experience, he has a strong interest in internal medicine with a special interest in oncology. Katie, who has over 10 years of experience in the industry and 6 years of experience as an RVN. Together they bring valuable leadership and guidance to the whole team.

This is a full-time position, working 40 hours, 5 days a week, with 1 in 4 Saturdays gaining a day off the week before and two 1:30pm finishes the week after, on a rota. However, there will be no OOH.

We are looking for an ideal candidate who sets high standards, takes initiative, and is eager to develop their career - but above all, someone with genuine empathy for our furry patients.

Our nursing team is encouraged to put their training into practice every day, and the successful candidate will enjoy plenty of client interaction. We have a particular passion for internal medicine, ultrasonography, and orthopaedics, and we expect a consistently high standard of medical nursing across all cases.
