Registered Manager – Childrens Home

Location : Birmingham

The Role

We are seeking a driven and experienced Registered Manager to lead the home and guide it toward achieving its first Ofsted inspection rating. This is an exciting opportunity to put your stamp on a new service and build a high-quality, child-focused culture from the ground up.

The Registered Manager will be responsible for the day‑to‑day running of the home, ensuring the children receive the highest standards of care and support while leading and inspiring a dedicated staff team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strong and effective leadership to the staff team, ensuring a child‑centred, nurturing, and consistent approach.
  • Manage the day‑to‑day operations of the home, ensuring compliance with the Children’s Homes Regulations and Ofsted Quality Standards.
  • Work closely with the Responsible Individual and Director to build a service that promotes positive outcomes for children.
  • Develop, implement, and review individualised care plans and risk assessments tailored to each child’s needs.
  • Ensure robust safeguarding practices are in place, keeping children safe at all times.
  • Foster strong working relationships with social workers, education providers, health professionals, and other agencies.
  • Lead the home towards achieving a Good or Outstanding Ofsted rating.
