Job description
Role Overview

As a Registered Nurse, you will lead and inspire your team, delivering clinical excellence and holistic care. You will collaborate with residents, families, and healthcare professionals to craft personalised care plans tailored to each individual's needs. You will oversee shift handovers, monitor residents' health through routine observations, and safely manage medication administration following strict protocols. The role involves building trusting relationships, promoting resident independence, encouraging engagement in social activities, championing dignity and respect, maintaining a safe environment, responding swiftly to emergencies, and fostering clear communication within the team to consistently deliver the highest standard of care.

Key Requirements
  • Registered General Nurse (RGN) or Registered Mental Health Nurse (RMN) with an active NMC Nursing PIN
  • Passion for care and commitment to improving residents' lives
  • Strong communication skills, able to engage with residents, families, and colleagues with empathy and clarity
  • Experience in care home settings is advantageous but not essential
  • Calm, patient demeanour with the ability to lead and mentor a team

Registered Nurse – The Ashton Care Home Contract: Full Time. Salary: £21.84 per hour. Shift type: Days & Nights available. Contracted hours: 36 per week & bank. The care home is located in Hinckley, close to town centre, specialising in residential, dementia, nursing, respite and palliative care for 72 residents.
