Ofsted Registered Manager/ Experienced Deputy Manager
Location: South Ockendon (Essex)
Salary: Starting from £45,000
Service Type: 3 bed EBD Home

We are currently working with a new start-up EBD home, which will be ready to take on a full time RM in Jan/ Feb 2026.

The Director has extensive experience working within the NHS as an Operational Lead with a focus on children and young people, Governance and Quality Assurance. They lead on referral processes to children’s residential homes, working with multiple stakeholders.

Registered Manager Overview

• Oversee the daily operations of an EBD (Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties) Residential Home;
• Support, guide and lead on quality improvement and compliance to ensure the home is up to standards and engaging with Children and Young People at an expert level;
• Achieve and document positive outcomes for children, ensuring their needs are met;
• Ensure compliance with the Children’s Homes (England) Regulations 2015;
• Maintain adherence to Ofsted registration requirements and inspection standards;
• To work as part of a new team, overseeing improvements made to the home and having input to manage this process smoothly.

Registered Manager Skills and Experience Required

• An experienced Registered Manager, who has worked within an EBD setting;
• Relevant Qualification – Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management or working towards;
• Excellent communication skills, being able to work as part of a team, lead and share experiences.
